What to expect.
Swapping a light fixture is the fastest way to change how a room feels, and the fastest way to end up on a ladder holding a chandelier with one hand and a wire nut in your teeth. Ken installs the fixture you picked on the box that is already there, level, centered, and tested before he climbs down.
Dining room chandeliers, kitchen pendants, bathroom vanity bars, hallway flush mounts, and bedroom sconces are the everyday jobs. Heavy fixtures get a box rated for the weight. Dimmer switches, smart switches, and bulb changes on tall ceilings are done on the same visit when you ask for them.
Fixtures go on existing, properly wired boxes. New boxes, new circuits, and recessed can conversions that need attic wiring go to a licensed electrician from the trusted-pros list, and Ken will coordinate the visit.

Questions homeowners ask before booking.
Can a handyman install a light fixture in Kentucky?
A like-for-like swap on an existing, properly wired box is standard handyman work. New wiring, new boxes, or work that needs a permit goes to a licensed electrician. Ken will tell you which category your job is in during the free estimate.
My chandelier is heavy. Can the ceiling hold it?
A standard box is rated for about 35 pounds. For anything heavier, Ken installs a brace box rated for the fixture. That is included in the estimate when the fixture weight calls for it.
Can you install a dimmer at the same time?
Yes. Ken carries standard and LED-compatible dimmers. Tell him the bulb type when you book and he will bring the right one.
How long does it take?
About 75 minutes for a standard fixture. Multi-arm chandeliers with assembly take closer to two hours.
