About this service

What to expect.

Most painting companies want a whole floor or a whole house. Ken takes the jobs they pass on: one bedroom, an accent wall, a bathroom, a set of doors, baseboards and trim, a ceiling stain, or the wall around a drywall patch that never got painted.

Every job starts with prep, because prep is what makes paint look professional. Furniture is moved and covered, floors are protected, holes are filled and sanded, and edges are cut in by hand. You pick the color and the sheen. If you have the original can, Ken uses it. If not, he can bring a chip to the store for a match.

Painting pairs well with other work on the same visit. Patch the drywall, mount the TV, and paint the wall before the TV goes up, all in one booking.

Interior Painting FAQ

Questions homeowners ask before booking.

Do you paint just one room?

Yes. Single rooms, accent walls, and trim-only jobs are exactly the size Ken takes. Whole-house repaints go to a painting contractor from the trusted pros list.

How long does it take to paint a room?

An average bedroom with two coats on the walls takes most of a day, including prep and cleanup. Accent walls and touch-ups take two to three hours. Trim and doors add time.

Do I need to buy the paint?

Either works. Supply your own and Ken uses it, or he buys it and adds it to the invoice at cost. Tell him the color and sheen, or the brand and color name off the old can.

Can you paint after a drywall repair?

Yes, and booking both together is the best value. Ken patches, primes, and paints in the same visit when the patch size and drying time allow. Larger patches may need a second short visit for the final coat.
